Make the Estimate Faster
A couple of phone photos of the cabinets, a count of doors and drawers, and a paint chip or color name let the painter give a tighter number. Mention if the house predates 1978 so they can plan lead-safe prep.
Kitchen Downtime
Ask about the schedule. Doors are often taken away to be sprayed, and boxes are painted on site, so plan a few days of light cooking.
